Chris

Chris
Chris is a self proclaimed genius, lover of the arts, and is a "Jack of All Trades" and the master of none. His first taxable income came from a radio station in his hometown of Harrisburg, Illinois nearly 20 years ago. While there he learned the art of spinning records, announcing football, basketball and baseball games and doing live remotes. He studied Musical Theatre/Opera at Southern Illinois University and moved to Atlanta, Georgia where he helped lead a national touring music and drama troupe. He and his family moved to Plainview in 2000 and he taught technical theatre and designed the theatrical productions at Wayland Baptist University. He is currently employed by Hamby Manufacturing where he is learning how to bend steel and weld.

Chris is excited to be behind the mic part time once again even if they have done away with the records! In his free time he loves to cook and doing so with real butter, fresh garlic and onions. He believes it is a sin to skin a chicken before cooking it. Chris likes his tea sweet, his ribeyes rare and enjoys spending time with Monjeau, his larger than life dog and his precious kiddos, Grayson and McKayleigh.

Yvette

Yvette
Yvette,

Has done it all and seen it all, well at least she likes to think she has. In reality Yvette has only traveled out of the country once, so that does not count as seeing it all. In her spare time she enjoys attempting to cook and is a very detail oriented person, most of her time is spent correcting something she has already done.

Yvette graduated from Hart High School, then from South Plains College with an Associate’s Degree in Broadcast Journalism. After graduating she attended Texas Tech, and being from a town of about 700 or so a big university like TTU was not her cup of tea so immediately transferred to West Texas A&M University in Canyon.

Yvette has two older brothers. The oldest brother D.J. lives in Plainview with his family and together with his wife are raising their beautiful children. The other brother Victor lives in North Richland Hills with his wife and two children, living the city life and loving every day.

Her parents live, and probably always will live in Hart. Yvette is very family oriented person and because of their help has become the person she is today.

She lives in Kress with her soon to be husband, together they have 2 dogs and 3 horses, also all the extra animals that come along with living in the country. They battle the muddy roads every time it rains, snows, or well any kind of moisture decides to fall from the sky.

Yvette continues to Thank God for all of the wonderful blessings she has received and the many more to come....

Penny Mitchell
Penny Michell
Penny's first gig 24 years ago was in Country radio and she is thrilled to still be working, "The best format today. PERIOD." She loves working the phones and getting listeners involved with the action on the air. Her daily feature, "My Three Songs" has a huge fan base; past attempts to replace it with another contest have been met with howls of protest. She loves interviewing Country artists, and feels very blessed to have interviewed many of the very biggest. Penny was once tapped to chauffeur Billy Dean around for five hours straight and would like it to be acknowledged that she didn't kidnap him.

Tad celebrated the acquisition of his driver's license by then getting his FCC license. He's been broadcasting since he was in high school, starting out in Sioux Falls, South Dakota at a country station, of course! Tad has worked at various markets and on various formats, including a 16 year stint at KYGO FM in Denver right before he joined U.S. Country. His daily "Big Burning Question" keeps the phones hopping on his afternoon show. He spends his free time managing his family farm land in South Dakota, avoiding reality TV, and doing home improvement projects in the form of trying really hard to break stuff around the house.
